This is an effort to raise money to help rebuild a village or two (in rural parts of Nepal), so that families and children have access to at least water, food, shelter and medicine. Once the relief/aid agencies leave the country, a lot more work will be left to be done. Many communities have been completely destroyed. Manisha Paudel, a resident of Dubuque who is originally from Nepal, will be working with her contacts in Nepal to assess needs in some of the rural villages in the Lamjung district. Some of the basic needs, like food, shelter and clothing, will continue to be some of the most needed things. Manisha will also strategize plans to work with these communities on long-term survival and basic development plans.
